The chapel was built in the late 1880’s prince Francis S. Kinney, the “Baron of Kinnelon,” as a token of love and devotion to his wife princess, Mary.
She was a devout Catholic who had to travel 7 miles to attend the nearest church.
There are some places that simply take your breath away, and St. Hubert’s Chapel on Chapel Island in Lake Kinnelon, New Jersey, is undoubtedly one of them. Imagine a medieval-style stone chapel, steeped in history and featuring exquisite interiors designed by none other than Louis Comfort Tiffany, all nestled on its own private island. Now, picture that island ablaze with the fiery reds, brilliant oranges, and golden yellows of peak autumn foliage.

Why these images are special:
- Unparalleled Views: From sweeping wide shots that showcase the chapel’s majestic isolation within Lake Kinnelon, to intimate, angled perspectives that highlight its intricate stone architecture, and even a unique top-down view revealing the island’s captivating shape—each photograph tells a different part of the story.
- Vibrant Autumn Colors: The timing of these shots during the peak fall season ensures an explosion of color that dramatically contrasts with the deep blue waters of the lake and the chapel’s rustic stone.
- A Piece of History: St. Hubert’s Chapel isn’t just picturesque; it’s a historical gem, commissioned in the late 1880s and home to one of Tiffany’s earliest integrated ecclesiastical designs. Owning one of these images means owning a piece of this rich legacy.
Perfect for art collectors, history buffs, lovers of New Jersey’s natural beauty, or anyone seeking a truly unique and captivating piece for their home or office. These prints make exceptional gifts and conversation starters.
