Saint Michael’s Church is one of the churches I photographed last week as part of one of my assignments. Saint Michael’s is part of the Parish of the Resurrection in Jersey City, New Jersey. The Church was built in 1867.
I believe Saint Michaels Church to be of a Romanesque Architectural Style, which came about during the 11th and 12th century and was seen as a transition from Classical Greek architecture to more “European” architecture. It is characterized by round or slightly pointed arches.
All of the images in this post are HDR (high dynamic range) images. I tone-mapped them using Unified HDR Expose 2. After tone-mapping the images I made minor adjustments to the images in Photoshop and applied Topaz Adjust 5 and Nik Color Efex 4 to the images to give them a bit more pop.
For added interest during my post processing I added the Vintage Music Sheet to the music holder stand in the organ. I downloaded the Free Image from devianART.
I enjoy all aspects of Photography and Architectural Photography is no exception.
