The Hamptons, on eastern Long Island’s South Fork, is a string of seaside communities known as a summer destination for affluent New York City residents. It’s marked by long stretches of beach and an interior of farmland, towns and villages with 18th-century shingle buildings and estates hidden behind tall boxwood hedges. East Hampton is home to high-end restaurants, bars and designer boutiques.
Fire Island Lighthouse – Fire Island Lighthouse and reflection in a pool of water from the melted snow after a snowfall. Fire Island Lighthouse is a visible landmark on the Great South Bay, in southern Suffolk County, New York on the western end of Fire Island, a barrier island off the southern coast of Long Island.
The lighthouse is located within Fire Island National Seashore and just to the east of Robert Moses State Park. It is part of the Fire Island Light Station which contains the light, keepers quarters, the lens building containing the original first-order Fresnel lens, and a boat house.

Corwith Windmill Long Island NY – Corwith Windmill after a snow fall with dramatic clouds in black and white. The mill was built in1800 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The Corwith Windmill is the smallest, second oldest, and has the most primitive machinery of the 11 surviving windmills on the East End.
