Yale University is an American private Ivy League research university in New Haven, Connecticut (CT ). The university was founded in 1701 and it is the 3rd oldest institution of higher education in the USA.
Opened in 1931, the library was designed by James Gamble Rogers as the centerpiece of Yale’s Gothic Revival campus. In addition to five large reading rooms, a Music Library, and courtyard on the ground floor, the library’s tower has sixteen levels of book-stacks containing over 4 million volumes.
