The bronze Atlas statue is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and East 51st Street, across the street from Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in midtown Manhattan, New York City.

The statue is 15 feet tall and 7.75 tons, and was sculpted by Lee Lawrie in 1937. The statue represents the ancient Greek Titan, Atlas, holding the world on his shoulders.

The statue is a reminder of the immense power we have as individuals to make a difference in the world.
