My Abstract Photo Journey –
As a photographer, I’ve always been fascinated by the way light, color, and motion can transform a familiar scene. We see the world in sharp focus every day, but what happens when we intentionally blur the lines? My recent work is a deep dive into abstract photography, and it’s been a journey of seeing the city not as a collection of buildings, but as a symphony of light and energy.

I temporarily traded in the pursuit of perfect clarity for something more emotional and interpretive. In my photos, the iconic structures of New York City become canvases for streaks of color and dynamic motion. The goal isn’t to show you exactly what the New York City skyline or the Vessel looks like, but to evoke the feeling of being there—the vibrant buzz of the city at night, the electric energy pulsing through the streets, the sense of being swept up in something bigger than yourself.

Through techniques like long exposures, multiple exposures, intentional camera movement and digital enhancements, I’m able to paint with light. The city lights become brushstrokes, creating a unique, almost dreamlike representation of urban life. Each image is a reminder that beauty isn’t just in the details; it’s often in the blur, the motion, and the unexpected way we choose to see the world.
