As a Canon shooter you are unable to shoot multiple exposures in camera, but you can certainly combine them in Photoshop. This is what I did in order to create this image.

I had an opportunity yesterday to visit some nearby familiar places in search of some wintering ducks to photograph. My first stop was the Mill Creek Marsh, which is located in Secaucus, NJ.
I was hoping for a white Christmas, it’s one of the reasons I love living up north. But we got a blizzard instead. So like the old saying goes… be careful what you wish for. So while home bound I decided to take a look at some images I created this year.

An oldie but simple and effective way to add some pop to images in Photoshop is to use Apply Image in Lab mode. I have used this technique often and find it to work well particularly with the warmer tones in an image.

Lines & Curves - For years, I’ve driven past this building, and these conduits always caught my eye. I finally took a minute to pull over and make the photograph. Simple, but I love the symmetry and repeating design — and although it’s understated, I’m glad I took the time to capture it.
