I captured this image during one of our Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead photography workshop with Roamin with Roman Photo Tours. I applied various French Kiss Textures to the image in order to give it an old fashioned look and feel.
I recently did a blog post on vintage items I have photographed which I titled “Times Gone By” and received a number of emails and comments . It was nice to hear that so many other people enjoy photographing or displaying in their homes either antique photos or antique items.
I captured the photograph at the opening of this post on our way to a recent Romin with Roman HDR workshop at Gillette Castle in East Haddam, Connecticut. I was like a child in a candy store in the Trolleys and Subway Trains graveyard. Although I had already been there and photographed on several other occasions, I could have easily spent more time there. The photo ops are extensive… specifically for HDR (high dynamic range) .
