The images in todays post are from our recent Romin’ with Roman HDR Photography workshop “From Output to Capture” at Fonthill Castle located in Doysletown, Pennsylvania.
I tonemapped the HDR (high dynamic range) images using Photomatix Pro. I further enhanced them in Photoshop CS5 using various plugin filters including, Adobe Pixel Bender, Nik Color Efex, Nik Silver Efex and Topaz Labs Adjust & Detail.

The number of exposures for these images varied anywhere from 5 to 9 total frames. I really like the way the images turned out after tone mapping them in Photomatix Pro. But I wanted to create different looks and have some fun getting creative with the various plugin filters.
I am fascinated by this place and look forward to our return workshop visit this fall in October, 2011. For the history of the castle you can visit the Mercer & Fonthill Museum. If you are interested in joining us or would like additional info, you can visit the workshop page or shoot us an email.
