This red brick Italian Gothic church formally opened its doors in 1887. St. Bridget’s continues to be a worship and gathering place for the decedents of the Irish, Italian and Polish settlers who founded it, as well as the many Filipino and Spanish groups who have moved into the neighborhood. St. Bridget’s also boasts two great volunteer choirs, one in English and one in Spanish, which add greatly to the prayerful worship experience.
One of my photography assignments from this week was to photograph 3 gorgeous churches. The images of St. Bridget’s Church in this blog post are all HDR (high dynamic range) images tone-mapped using Unified’s HDR Expose 2.
Saint Bridget’s Church is part of the Parish of the Resurrection which was created in 1997. St. Bridget’s Italian Gothic church was built in 1869 and formally opened its doors in 1887. The architecture, colors and details are breathtaking.
