We thank all the participants, sponsors and send a Big Congrats to the winners. Stay tuned for the next one which will be another fun and exciting theme.
Roman and I are thrilled to announce the winners of our first HDR photo contest!!! Even though we judge photo contest around the state, it took us a while to pick the winners with so many quality entries. We chose Jason Hipp’s image above because of the excellent and unusual composition along with the mood and the fantastic HDR processing. Congratulations Jason on the well deserved win!!!
For those of you who haven’t been to Grand Central Terminal to photograph, anyone can bring a tripod if you apply for the free permit and you can find the information here.
For our second place winner we chose a much more naturally processed HDR. The second place winner was an image of Mammoth Hot Spring by Megg McNamee. The subtle HDR processing and beautiful comp and colors gave her image a bit of an edge. Way to go Megg!!! A relative newcomer to HDR it looks like she is taking to it very well!
Our 3rd place winner is Jerry Snyder. His image of a corn barn had a great graphic quality to it and Roman and I both loved the lines and composition. There were quite a few entries nipping at the heels of this one but when it came down to it, Susan and I both just loved the overall design and HDR work of the image. Congratulations to you Jerry!
Roman and I would like to thank all of you who entered and we are already working on the next contest which we will be announcing shortly.
We would also like to thank Gary Farber of Hunt’s Photo and Video for donation the 2nd place prize as well as Unified Color Technologies for their support with the 3rd place prize.
