Lunar Eclipse Sequence

Living in the north east of the United States, it was quite the experience to be able to witness the total eclipse of the moon. It was an added bonus to be able to photograph and memorialize the event with my images.

The first Beaver full moon photo in the upper left of the frame was captured shortly after 3:00 am EST when the penumbral eclipse began on the early hours of Tuesday, November 8, 2022. The red blood moon on the lower right was captured around 5:30 am EST shortly after the full eclipse began.

I chose the landscape subject mainly due to the circular shape of the Dream Wheel ferris wheel at American Dream Mall. I liked the illuminated colors of the ferris wheel and the cylindrical shaped structure of the mall during this night celestial composition.
