An upper look at the Main Reading Room at the United States Library Of Congress in Washington DC.
The Thirteen Original American Colonies, painted on the ceiling of the first floor of the Capitol Building. This is one of the many paintings found through out the halls of the United States Capitol Building. The original colonies were Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina and Rhode Island.
Meeting Rooms at the United States House of Representatives. The rooms are located in the first floor of the Capitol Building. The first door on the right was renamed from H-139 to The Henry J. Hyde Room after his retirement. He served as the House International Relations Committee Chairman for 32 years and was a member of the US House of Representatives from Illinois’s 6th district.
Fall foliage at their peak adorn the head stones of our brave fallen soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
A view to the east from the great hall interior of the United States Library of Congress to the ceiling with all the magnificent murals, elaborate ornamentation and architectural details. The Library of Congress is one of the oldest federal cultural institution in the United States and one of the two largest libraries in the world. It has been called “the richest interior in America”.
Colorful light bathes the Washington Bay at the Washington National Cathedral from sunlight reflected thru the stained glass windows.
A view from across the Potomac River to the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and the Capitol Building during autumn and sunset. The peak fall foliage adds beautiful colors and the Washington Monument although covered with scaffolding, due to repairs being done from the damages caused by the 2011 earthquake, looks very elegant and striking when illuminated at sundown.
A black and white west side view with dramatic cloudy sky of the staircase, the regal dome and building of the United States Capitol in Washington DC.
View to the architectural details and colorful autumn foliage at its peak, at the Arlington Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. The Amphitheater is located next to the Tomb Of The Unknown Soldiers.
All of the images in this post are composed of bracketed images that I tone-mapped using Unified Color HDR Expose 3. Ever since I discovered Unified Color’s HDR software a few years ago, it has been my favorite go to software for tone-mapping my HDR images. In my opinion it affords me with the most natural look and colors for my high dynamic range photographs.
If you have never used the software, I truly encourage you to do so. You may download a fully functional 30 day free trial. If you decide to purchase you may use my discount code SDCPHOTOGRAPHY for 10% off the total purchase price.
