Great Falls NJ – Paterson Great Falls National Park
Great Paterson Falls is also known as “The Great Falls” due to its large size and power when water flows through it. The area around this waterfall was once home to Native Americans who used it as a hunting ground before Europeans arrived in America. Today, many people come here for recreation such as hiking or fishing because of its proximity (less than five miles) from Route 80/I-80 which runs through New Jersey near exit 31A (Paterson Plank Road).
