Mother Nature’s Pond Heart – A hidden pond nestled within a breathtaking tapestry of autumn foliage. Captured from above, the forest’s vibrant colors of gold, orange, crimson, and green embrace the tranquil waters, creating a natural heart shaped by Mother Nature herself. A beautiful reminder that nature’s most extraordinary works of art are often found in the simplest places.
Lake Willoughby VT & Mount Pisgah during fall foliage. The “Vermont Fjord”. An aerial view of Lake Willoughby and Mount Pisgah, where a winding lakeside road hugs the shoreline beneath dramatic cliffs with brilliant autumn colors. Fiery reds, golden yellows, and vibrant oranges blanket the landscape, creating a spectacular celebration of fall in Vermont.
There is something truly magical about Vermont in the fall. This year’s autumn photo adventures brought me through some of the state’s most beautiful landscapes, where brilliant foliage, winding mountain roads, charming villages, and historic covered bridges created endless opportunities to capture the season’s beauty.
From the dramatic cliffs and colorful mountainsides of Lake Willoughby to the picturesque streets of Stowe, every location offered something unique. The iconic white steeple of Stowe Community Church stood beautifully against a backdrop of autumn color, while a quiet aerial view of Heart Pond revealed a peaceful oasis surrounded by a brilliant tapestry of reds, oranges, and golds.
Autumn Dreams at Smugglers’ Notch, Vermont – A winding road snakes through the spectacular fall foliage of Smugglers’ Notch, Vermont, as vibrant reds, fiery oranges, and golden yellows blanket the mountainsides. Wisps of fog drift through the valley, creating an ethereal atmosphere as a lone car travels along this scenic mountain pass. A breathtaking glimpse of Vermont’s autumn magic. 🍂🍁
At Smugglers’ Notch, the winding road disappeared into a veil of mist, creating a dreamy, almost otherworldly scene. And at Henry Covered Bridge, the rich red structure stood in striking contrast to the soft, flowing water below and the vibrant foliage along the riverbanks.
Stowe Community Church – A New England Autumn — Stowe, Vermont. A picture-perfect autumn scene in Stowe, Vermont, where the charming church stands surrounded by the breathtaking colors of fall. The vibrant foliage, crisp autumn air, and timeless New England architecture create a scene straight out of a postcard. There’s a special kind of magic in Vermont this time of year, when every color tells a story and every view is worth capturing.
Each photograph tells a different story of Vermont in autumn—a reminder of how quickly the season passes and how extraordinary nature can be when everything comes together.
Henry Covered Bridge VT – Originally built in the 1840’s, the Burt Henry Covered Bridge, also known as the Henry Covered Bridge or just the Henry Bridge, is a covered bridge that spans the Walloomsac River near Bennington, Vermont.
A Town lattice truss bridge, it carries River Road, just south of the village of North Bennington in Vermont.
These are a few of my favorite moments from this year’s Vermont fall foliage adventures. 🍁
